How Cash Bail Works in Pomona Cases
Cash bail is the full bail amount paid in money, with no surety bond involved. California law sets out who may pay it and what happens to the money after the case.
With bail fixed, PC 1295 lets the defendant or anyone else deposit that sum with the court clerk where the defendant must appear, then give the jail the certificate of deposit. The clerk at Pomona Courthouse South cannot accept a general assistance check.
