Each code below has its own designation on the 2026 LA County schedules. Several carry $0 under the Pre-Arraignment Release Protocol; where money bail applies, the standard premium is 10%.
Without a concealed-carry license, PC 25400 bars hiding a concealable gun on you or in a vehicle you control. The misdemeanor is Book and Release; factors like a prior felony or a known stolen gun make it a felony, with Magistrate Review.
Officers arrest under PC 25850 for a loaded gun on the person or in a vehicle on a public street or public place in Pomona. Depending on the facts it is a misdemeanor or a felony; both 2026 schedules list Magistrate Review.
Owning or holding a gun after a felony conviction, or while addicted to a narcotic, is a straight felony under PC 29800(a)(1). The 2026 schedule lists Magistrate Review: $0 bail, yet we cannot post a bond while a magistrate weighs release.
PC 30605(a) punishes possessing an assault weapon unless an exception, such as registration, applies. Up to a year in county jail or a felony term makes it a wobbler, filed either way. Only the felony schedule lists it: Magistrate Review.
PC 417 covers a rude, angry or threatening weapon display, outside self-defense. Before a peace officer the person knows is on duty, or loaded at a day care or youth program, a gun makes it a wobbler. Each misdemeanor row reads Magistrate Review.
Malicious, willful gunfire at an inhabited home, occupied building or occupied vehicle violates PC 246. The felony schedule sets $250,000 for this serious felony, and PC 1270.1 bars a lower amount before an open-court hearing. A misdemeanor booking gets Magistrate Review.

Weapons Charge Bail Bond FAQ
Pomona gun cases often run from Pomona City Jail to Pomona Courthouse South. For anyone in custody, PC 825 requires arraignment without unnecessary delay, within 48 hours after arrest, excluding Sundays and holidays.
Between $0 and $250,000 for the codes on this page, before any enhancement. PC 25850, 29800 and 30605 carry $0 as Magistrate Review, and a felony PC 246 shooting carries $250,000. An alleged firearm-use enhancement under PC 12022.5 adds $50,000 on the 2026 schedule.
Often, yes. A warrant carries the bail a judge endorsed under PC 815a, and felony PC 246 carries $250,000. Without a warrant, most misdemeanor PC 25400 arrests get $0 Book and Release. PC 25850, 29800 and 30605 get $0 Magistrate Review, which allows no bond, though arraignment can bring money bail.
$7,500 at the standard 10% premium. It drops to $6,000 if you qualify for the filed 8% rate through military service, veteran status, union membership or a private attorney. The 2026 felony schedule sets $75,000 for assault with a semiautomatic firearm, PC 245(b).
Not for the debt itself (California Constitution, article I, section 10). Penal Code 1300 does let a bail agent surrender the defendant before forfeiture. If that happens before a court date, 10 CCR 2090 makes the agent return the premium, keeping limited costs only when it proves a substantially increased risk.
A $1,000 bond costs a $100 premium at 10%, and that premium is non-refundable in most cases, including when prosecutors drop the case. Check the code: misdemeanor PC 25400 is Book and Release at $0 unless an exception, such as felony probation or parole, sends it to Magistrate Review.
